Driven by our shared passion and friendship, we decided to join forces. With our different backgrounds, strengths, and complementary skills, we believe that collaborating leads to more interesting results. Beyond the outcome, we genuinely enjoy working together, learning from one another, and exploring new possibilities along the way. Today, we work in a shared workshop in Ghent, alongside other instrument builders who create different types of instruments.
Arjen Everts
Born in Meeuwen, Belgium, Arjen Everts studied instrument making at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent, specializing in historical lutes and later focusing on wire-strung plucked instruments. Besides building, Arjen focusses on the making and refining twined strings for these wire-strung instruments. Driven by a passion to recreate lost sounds of the past, his work reflects a deep respect for history.

Wessel Bisperink
Born in Amsterdam, Wessel moved to Belgium to study instrument making at the Royal Conservatory in Ghent, with a particular focus on historical lute construction. Over several years of study, he delved into the world of early plucked instruments, reconstructing a variety of Renaissance lute models. This naturally expanded into an exploration of lutes from later historical periods. His motivation comes from an interest in the craft itself and the pursuit of creating instruments that are capable of expressing music with the least possible resistance.
